Mobile phones have come on a long way and now if you have Wi-Fi in the house or if you're in McDonald's (or anywhere else in which an open Wi-Fi system is in effect) you can connect to the internet for free. Not everyone is a technological wizz and not everyone knows how to do this so here is a little guide to help you from start to end if you have a Samsung Wave (GT-S7230E model). If you feel a bit lost just follow the numbers in brackets to relate to a picture down the side, or just follow the pictures.

To start with when you turn your phone on you get a screen like this (1), the general home screen. From here you click the centre “soft key” which is located at the bottom of phone (2). The key typically looks like it's just a dot on the phone though does click in and opens up this menu (3).

From the menu (3) you need to click on the icon called “Settings” (4) and then click on the “Connectivity” option (5). This opens up a list of options it's self though it's pretty straightforward that for the sake of this guide you are looking for the Wi-Fi option which is the second one down.

If you're in an area where a lot of houses have a Wi-Fi hub or you can pick up a host of different options you will need to find the one you want to use (6).When you click on one that is password protected, such as this one (7) you will need to entera valid password, usually found on the back of your Wi-Fi hub.

When you've entered the correct password you'll be able to connect and a little tick will appear next to the name of the connection you've connected to (8). Now you're on Wi-Fi and won't be charged for you're mobile internet as long as you keep an active Wi-Fi connection.

To disconnect you can can just click on the tick to “uncheck” it or “drag” the top of the screen down to open up this little menu (9) and click on “Wi-Fi” to disconnect it easily and quickly with out needing to go through all the menu's.
