Due to the way mobile phones have taken over our lives in the past few years we've seen other devices disappearing from our homes. A modern day phone can be as much more than just a phone and can be used as a digital camera, or an MP3 player or even a portable gaming device. Though one of the other more useful functions is to use the phone to replace your alarm clock. In this guide we are going to learn how to use the alarm on the Samsung Wave cell phone (or mobile phone) which is a little less straightforward than you may first think.

Rather than going into an alarm option or even the settings option you need to find the clock application. This was rather odd as I'd personally spent 3 or 4 minutes looking for a much more straight forward “Alarm” application. Though after you find the Clock application things are simple enough.

From the application the default screen looks something like the image to the right of the paragraph with 4 options along the top. We want to use the the first one (one on the extreme left) though the other 3 options are also useful for various purposes. The centre left one allows you to add world clocks to see what time it is in various parts of the world, especially useful if you follow various sports around the world for example. The third option (centre right) is a stopwatch which has a number of uses though is a pretty straightforward tool and the final option (extreme right) is another simple tool called a “Time-out alarm”. The time out alarm is basically a tool that allows you to set an alarm after so many minutes, for example helping to boil an egg.

So to setting our alarm. We start by clicking on “Create” in the bottom left corner which then opens up a plethora of options as shown to the right of this paragraph. From here you can select the time of the alarm, the days of the alarm (Weekdays, everyday, once or the individual days) and several “Snooze” settings as well as the level of sound and the alarm tune. A useful note to add is you can create up to 10 separate alarms with the phone which means you should have more than enough alarms to never be late.
