The new flagship Samsung smartphone, the "Samsung Galaxy S2", has been a huge hit selling millions of units since it's release and has seen people flooding to the shops to get it. As with every new gadget people are wanting to know what secrets it has and one of the most obvious secrets of the Samsung Galaxy is it's "Screen Capture" feature which has allowed users to take a screen grab similar to a "Print Screen".

Whilst the feature doesn't do a great deal in terms of the actual phone or the way the phone operates it does allow you to capture images for things such as guides (see the image I've used here for example) or to show off high scores in games with your friends. So how do we manage to take a Screen capture?

Firstly you need to hold the phones "Home" button, this is the centre button on the handset at the bottom. You'll find it between the "Menu" and the "Back" button. Whilst holding "Home" you need to swiftly press the "Lock" button (also referred to as the power button) which you will find on the right edge of the handset. After doing this you will see an the screen "flash" slightly and a message will be shown on the screen.

You may find you have 1 of 3 problems when trying this trick.
1-You end up at the home screen
2-You end up with the Open applications screen
3-You lock the phone

The cause of these problems is either not holding the "Home" button for long enough (problem 1), pressing "Home" for too long before pressing "Hold" (problem 2) or pressing "Hold" too early (problem 3). You'll might find yourself needing some practice before getting it spot on every time though it's very simple to pick up once you understand it.

All pictures taken in this fashion can be found in the "Screen captures" folder on the phone and in the Gallery application.
